Landmine / Garden

Collaborative MR Experience

2025 - 2026

What we don't see is easy to ignore.

Landmine / Garden is a collective mixed reality experience that transforms an invisible global crisis into a shared embodied experience. In this experience, visitors step into the role of deminers, searching for concealed landmines, carefully deactivating them, and uncovering the memories and stories buried within the garden. Through collective effort, visitors transform a landscape of danger into one of hope, growth, and remembrance.

Every step carries uncertainty, inviting participants to feel vulnerability, collective responsibility, and the urgency of paying attention.

Partnership with UNMAS

Working closely with the UNMAS (United Nations Mine Action Service), we explored how embodied interaction could deepen visitors' understanding of the global landmine crisis. Rather than relying solely on information, we sought to create an experience that could help people feel closer to the lives of those affected around the world, while carefully balancing empathy without relying on fear, and engagement without gamification.
